At the Seten Anatolian Restaurant, we now offer Turkish Cooking classes. Taught by local women and the aid of a translator, we offer you the experience of creating a traditional Cappadocia meal – including appetizer, soup, entrée and dessert.
Our Turkish Cooking Class itinerary:
Beginning from your hotel at 09:30, the first stop is a local market. This region offers local produce markets*. At the market, with your guide/translator you can explore the fresh local produce available seasonally [bring your cameras!] and experience the typical local way of shopping.
After collecting the ingredients for your class at the market, you return to the restaurant where you will work with the local women (and your translator) in the courtyard – creating local dishes such as Yaprak Sarma (stuffed grape leaves), soup, entrée and a dessert.
After all of your hard work….you can eat what you’ve created for lunch! The class ends around 13:00/14:00.
The rate per person is 50 Euros and includes transportation, market visit, translator, all the ingredients, class and lunch. The classes are offered daily throughout the year.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to reserve your cooking class time and date.
*the open air local markets are not available on Sunday or Tuesday – on these days we will visit a local grocer to collect the ingredients.
